How to Enable Live Captioning in a Zuddl Webinar

3 mins read

The SyncWords integration lets you translate spoken content into readable text captions in real-time.

With SyncWords, attendees can select from a list of supported languages to receive captions. This makes your webinar more accessible to audiences across the globe.

Set up the integration.

Specify your requirements by filling up the live event request form and sending it to SyncWords. The table below describes the details required by SyncWords.

Requirements for SyncWords

After receiving your request, SyncWords will send an invoice for these requirements to the Invoice Contact (added in your form). When the request is accepted, you will receive a unique token that lets you enable captions on Zuddl.

Based on your requirements, it may take at least 2 weeks to confirm the integration.

Enabling caption support

Closed captioning is enabled at a stage level. After receiving the token, go to Engagement and enter the token you received from SyncWords in the Enter token field under Caption Support.

Once Captions Support is turned on, attendees can turn on the caption from the settings option (gear icon) in the particular live stage, select a language of their choice, and start reading the simultaneously converted captions of the spoken content real-time.

Caution: Since the conversion is done by a real human typist and not a bot, you should expect a 2-3-second lag.
