How to Set Up Streaming on Twitter from Zuddl Studio

To go live on Twitter, you need to configure your RTMP server on Zuddl. To set up your RTMP server, you need the following:

  1. RTMP Server URL
  2. Stream Key

Prerequisite:

Before you get started, ensure that you have Media Studio Producer access for your account to start a broadcast.

The process to live stream your session to Twitter can be broken down into three major steps:

  • Create a new broadcast
  • Create a source
  • Configure your stream

Create a new Broadcast

On Twitter, live video streams are known as ‘Broadcasts’. To create a new broadcast,

  1. Log in to your Twitter account.
  2. From the homepage go to More > Media Studio. This takes you to your media studio homepage which enlists all the videos you’ve broadcasted previously.
  3. Click the Producer tab at the top.
  4. Now, in the top right corner, click Create Broadcast. This starts a new live video.
  5. Enter a name for your broadcast and also add a category.

Create a Source

To create a source:

  1. Click the Sources tab.
  2. Select Create Source.
  3. Select RTMP for the Source Type.
  4. Enter a name for the source.
  5. Choose the region from where you are going to stream. If you cannot find a region, choose one closest to your region.
  6. Click Create.

Configure your Stream

  1. Click the Sources tab.
  2. Select the source for which you want the RTMP keys:
    1. RTMP URL
    2. RTMP Stream Key
  3. On Zuddl, click on the + button to add a destination.

  4. Click the + Add destination button.
  5. Select Twitter from the Streaming platforms section.

  6. Copy and paste the Stream URL and Stream key into their respective fields in Zuddl Studio.

    You can use the RTMP Stream key for recurring events.

  7. Click Add destination. This would add the Twitter destination in Zuddl Studio.
