How to Add Media Widgets in a Hybrid Event in Zuddl

Media widgets are great for branding, marketing, showcasing your product or services, and more. Zuddl offers 3 types of Media widgets:
  1. Image
  2. Video
  3. Carousel


Images

You can add image widgets to the lobby or to expo booths by clicking on Image in the Add widget modal. To configure an image widget:
  1. In the lobby or expo booth editor, click Add widget > Image.

  2. Enter a suitable Image Name of up to 20 characters. This is a mandatory field.

    Image name is not visible to attendees and speakers.
  3. Choose a File Type from the dropdown menu. This is a mandatory field.
    • Upload File (default): to upload a JPEG image file from your device.
    • From URL: to enter the web URL of an image.

  4. Select the Enable redirection checkbox for images from where the attendees are redirected to an Internal event zone (such as a Rooms, Expos, Stages, Lobby, Schedule, or Networking) or External web address when they click on the widget.

  5. Click Save to add the widget.
  6. Resize and reposition the widget on the booth preview as needed.


Video

To configure a video widget:
  1. In the lobby or expo booth editor, click Add widget > Video.

  2. Enter a suitable Video Name of up to 20 characters. This is a mandatory field.
  3. Choose the Video type from the dropdown menu:
    • Upload File: to upload a video from your device.
    • From URL: to enter the web URL of an online video.

  4. Select any additional controls:
    • Auto Play: starts playing the Video automatically, without needing to click a play button.
    • Mute Video: plays the Video without audio.
    • Loop Video: plays the Video on repeat.

  5. Click Save to add the widget.
  6. Resize and reposition the widget on the booth preview as needed.


Carousel

A carousel is simply a slideshow of images (with a minimum of two images).
Here’s an example of how a carousel looks inside a booth:

To add a carousel:
  1. In the lobby or expo booth editor, click Add widget > Carousel.

  2. Enter a suitable Carousel Name (of up to 20 characters). This is a mandatory field.
  3. Enter the Image Name (of up to 20 characters). Adding an image name helps identify and take action on specific images. Add images in the same way you add an image widget.
  4. Click +Add Image to add more images to the carousel (as explained in step 3).
  5. Select the Enable Redirection checkbox for the relevant images to redirect attendees to an Internal event venue (such as a Rooms, Expos, Stages, Lobby, Schedule, or Networking) or External web address when they click on the carousel widget.
  6. Click Save to add the widget.
  7. Resize and reposition the widget on the booth preview as needed.
You can find the settings for added widgets by clicking on them.
