How to Modify a Transaction for a Virtual Event on Zuddl
To modify a transaction

Go to Ticketing > Transaction and select the desired transaction from the list.
On the transaction details page, click the three-dot option and click Modify order. On the modify screen, you can view each ticket and take action based on the ticket.
On the modify screen, click the Modify button for the required ticket/attendee.

On the modify details screen, make changes to the order such as re-assigning new ticket and adding/deleting add-ons.
Select a correct ticket from the New ticket dropdown.

Click the Assign more add-ons to select and add new add-ons.
Add-ons will be available to select only if the Sales duration is ongoing (i.e Sales end on date time is before the current date and time)
Click the Select button to select the required add-ons from the list. You can also remove session by clicking the Remove button.
Select the sessions within the add-on and click Select sessions. On the add-ons page, click Assign add-ons. This adds the selected add-ons with the selected sessions.

The modification summary screen shows the old and new ticket and add-ons with price changes for the order.
For organizers, there are no session conditions when modifying the order. You can select a session even if capacity for that session has reached.summary -
Click Save changes.

On the next screen, you can set the following for each attendee:

Refund amount: specify the difference amount to be refunded back to the purchaser if the new ticket/session prices is lower than what the purchaser had already paid. Maximum amount is the old ticket/session price.
Owe amount: specify the difference amount which the purchaser has to pay for cases where the new ticket/session price. Maximum amount is the new ticket/session price.

Refer total paid and the total outstanding amount/refund amount. The total outstanding amount is the total Owe amount - Refund amount.
If the total Refund amount is greater than total owe amount, the outstanding amount will be a negative amount. This amount will be borne by you.summary

Click Proceed.

On the Modify order summary pop-up screen, review the total purchaser paid and outstanding amount for all modified attendees. If refund amount is greater, on the summary popup screen, click on Refund button. If the refund amount is adjusted with the total owe amount but still have with a remainder payment, click Send payment link.

Click the Send payment link button. This takes you back to the transaction details page where you can view the Modification and Transaction history.
Transaction history statuses
- Tickets modification processing: Shows up immediately after sending payment link
- Tickets modified: When the modification process is completed.
- Payment link sent: This state is shown soon after the Ticket modified state when the email containing payment option is triggered
- Refund processed: When the refund amount is adjusted with new ticket or refunded back to purchaser.
Other actions
Once you have made changes to the order, there are certain other actions which you can take.
Resend payment link
To resend payment link, click on the Resend payment link button.
You cannot modify or cancel the order when the payment is in pending state.
View modification history
You can view the modification history, click the View modification history button. You can view the modification date, ticket and add-on details for each attendee. The older ticket details are shown under Previous ticket and modified ticket is shown under Updated ticket. Changes made to the add-ons are shown under the Updated add-ons section.
Communication
When changes have been made to an order, communicating the same to the purchaser and attendee is important. When you modify an order, the following emails are sent:

To purchaser
This email shows the complete transaction history with price status (To be paid and Refund) such that the purchaser is well aware of all the changes. It also shows the outstanding amount to be paid by the purchaser or refunded by the organizer. The email also shows a Make payment button to start with payment process for the with modified order containing updated tickets.
The email also comes with an invoice attached.
You cannot access the payment page again once the payment has been made.
If the purchasers selects the pay by invoice option, the Resend payment link button is replaced with Send payment reminder button on the transaction details page. Modify and and cancel order is not shown to a Pay by invoice transaction till you manually Mark the transaction as paid using the Mark as paid button.
Invoice updates
The invoice shows the updated tickets and add-ons. Any refund amount due will be adjusted with the any outstanding payment amount.
Cancelation invoice
When a ticket is canceled, this invoice is also sent with the modification email. The credit amount by cancelation is shown on the payment invoice as shown above.
Until you’ve marked the modified order as paid, the attendee continues to possess accessibility privileges (the access settings you make using access control for audiences) of the older ticket.
