Welcome to Zuddl Webinars!
As a speaker, you play a key role in delivering an engaging webinar. This guide will walk you through everything you need to know: joining the webinar backstage, making use of Zuddl Studio's features, and wrapping up smoothly.
Before the Webinar
Before you join the webinar, here are a few things to review:
- Check your invitation email. You'll receive a webinar invitation email sent by the organizer, which contains a unique joining link that lets you sign in to the webinar.
- For your device setup, we recommend the following:
- Use a laptop or desktop for the best virtual experience.
- Use Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge for better compatibility.
- Turn off your VPN or Firewall, as they may restrict your access.
- Check your internet connection. A stable connection ensures smooth streaming.
- A headset or external microphone can improve your audio quality.
- Close unnecessary apps to avoid performance issues.
- If your organizer has set up a Dry run before the webinar, join in to get familiar with the platform.
Joining the Webinar
On the day of the webinar, follow these steps to join in:
- Click the joining link in the invitation email (the Go to Event button). This is unique to you and will log you in to the webinar.
- Once you enter the webinar, you are shown a popup with the option to join as an attendee or to go to backstage. Click Go backstage. This redirects you to Zuddl Studio, which is the backstage for the webinar.
- Once the page loads, grant Zuddl Studio access to your camera and microphone from the browser notification.
- Before entering Studio, you can configure your audio and video settings from the Camera and Mic check page.
- Click the settings icon to configure your video or audio devices.
- In the Video tab, you can choose which Camera to use (if you have multiple devices available) and the Video resolution.
- In the Audio tab, you can choose your Audio Input and Audio Output devices, test your speakers, choose an Audio Output Quality, and configure Advanced audio settings (enabled by default) as required for additional customization.
- In the Virtual Background tab, you can set up a virtual background - blurring your background, using one of the preset virtual backgrounds from the list, or uploading your own background image.

- In the Video tab, you can choose which Camera to use (if you have multiple devices available) and the Video resolution.
- Once you're ready, click Enter studio to join the Studio on Backstage. Backstage is not streamed to attendees, so you are not visible or audible to the audience.
- The Engagement sidebar has the Chat and People tabs. The Chat tab lets you interact with other webinar participants, both on stage and backstage, divided into two separate tabs. The Stage tab is visible to everyone including attendees, while the Backstage tab is only accessible for people who have backstage access - organizers and speakers.
- You can interact with people backstage using video/audio and through text messages in the Chat > Backstage tab. When the webinar is running, you can also mute any activity on the stage by clicking the sound icon shown on the Stage tab.
- The Present button opens a menu with multiple options:
- Video: lets you present a video from your device.
- Presentation: lets you share a presentation from your device.
- Share screen: lets you share your device screen to the webinar.
- IFrame: lets you share an iFrame by entering an external URL.
- When the organizer sends you to the Stage, you are visible to attendees when the webinar is streaming. The Backstage tab is automatically muted for you when you go onstage.
- When the webinar begins streaming, you can see a notification on the screen informing you about this and the timer on the upper right starts running.
- When the webinar session ends, you can see a notification informing you about this on the screen.
- To leave the Studio, you can click the Leave Studio button in the upper-right corner. If you need to rejoin the studio, you can use the same joining link from the invitation email.
