How to Pin Chats, Polls, and Q&As to the Stream

Using the engagement function on the studio backstage, you can pin polls, quizzes, Q&As, and chats from the sidebar to the studio stream.
Follow these steps to use the function:
- Go to the studio backstage for your event or webinar.
Click Engage on the right sidebar. This opens a modal with the live event sidebar. Here, you can find the different tabs for Chat, Polls, and Q&A.

Show chat messages on the stage
You can show individual messages from the Chat sidebar tab on the stream. This includes the profile image of the person who posted the message and their name.
Follow these steps to show a message on the stage:
Open the Chat sidebar tab inside the Engage modal.
- Click the More Options button next to the message you want to show on the stream.
Click Show on stage.
The message is now visible on the stream. To remove the pinned message, click Remove from the same tab or click Remove from the stage from the message's options menu.
Pinning polls and quizzes
Polls and quizzes can be pinned to the stream for attendees to answer. The options are also shown on-screen; attendees can select them directly from the stream.
Note: Only published polls and quizzes can be pinned to the stream.
Follow these steps to pin a poll or quiz:
- Open the Polls sidebar tab inside the Engage modal. Click the Published tab to see the published polls and quizzes.
Click Pin on screen for the poll or quiz you want to pin to the stream.
- The poll or quiz is now visible on the stream. To remove the pinned poll or quiz, click Unpin from the screen under the pinned poll or quiz from the Polls tab.
Pinning Q&As
Q&As can be pinned to the stream to show the question and the answer together, along with the name of the organizer who answered the question. Unanswered questions can also be pinned.
Follow these steps to pin a Q&A:
- Open the Q&A sidebar tab inside the Engage modal.
Click Pin on screen for the question you want to pin to the stream.
The question is now visible on the stream. To remove the pinned message, click Unpin from the screen under the pinned question from the Q&A tab.
