How to Set up Lobby for a Hybrid Event in Zuddl

The Lobby venue is similar to a hotel lobby area or the reception area of an event, where attendees first arrive after signing in. Zuddl provides authentic guidance to set up a Lobby with various customizations such as editable backgrounds, introductory videos, widgets, and more to make your virtual event engaging and immersive.
Here are some examples of different lobby setups:
Setting up the Lobby
- Login to the Zuddl dashboard and create an event. Learn more about creating events.
To set up a Lobby, go to Venue Setup > Lobby.
To add a Lobby background, click on the Edit background button.
Choose one from the list of high-definition environments provided by Zuddl, or upload your background image from your device and click the Save button.
- The recommended image size is 1920x1080 pixels in a JPG, JPEG, PNG, or GIF file up to 4 MB.
- Click on the Save button to save the changes you have made.
Add lobby widgets
Zuddl offers different widgets that can be added to enhance your lobby experience, such as media widgets, buttons, hotspots, iframes, and tickers.
- Click on the Widgets dropdown menu, and you can see an Add widget button.
- Click on the Add Widget button to enhance your lobby experience. Choose one from the list of high-definition widgets provided by Zuddl. You can edit or delete, the mentioned list of widgets.
- Click on the Save button to save the changes you have made.
Add Mobile view
Zuddl lets you optimize Lobby for mobile devices, such that they appear vertically on mobile view for viewers to easily scroll through the Lobby.
You can find the Lobby mobile view setup in Venue Setup > Lobby and navigate to the Mobile section and toggle on Enable Mobile view. This adds two new tab options on the top bar: Desktop and Mobile.
The Lobby mobile view settings are,
- Background image - A Lobby background specific to mobile layouts. A JPG or PNG file with a width of 1080px and a minimum height of 1920px. The maximum image file size is 4 MB.
- Widgets: This shows all the widgets that you’ve added to the desktop view. Widgets can only be added in the desktop view. However, once added, you can hide/unhide widgets exclusively for mobile view.
- Intro Video: An Introduction video can be displayed on the Lobby screen. Click on the Upload video button to upload an MP4 video up to 6GB
Add an intro video
An Intro video is the experience video for the Lobby and is played for attendees when they arrive at the event.
Click on the Upload video button. The recommended format is 1920x1080 resolution in either .mp4, .avi, or .mov with a maximum size of 6 GB.
- Click on the Save button to save the changes you have made.
